Alone and as a duo – alleine und zu zweit: At the center of the latest choreographic experiment by Flamencos en route is dialogue. Here, committed eye contact, an immediate body language, and a dance conversation emerge. Out of isolation, connection and resonance within the "thou" are sought.
When nothing more
depends on the words
you say, I'm making it up
a language for us
lock, stock, and barrel
Speak with your hands
You can do so brightly
with the moon-blue hands
I hear myself, motionless
to you
(Andreas Neeser)
At the same time, the dialogic form is a convergence of dance and word – an attempt, in the interplay of song and contemporary poetry, to imbue dance with words and touch it. Among other things, the choreography explores poems by the Aargau writer Andreas Neeser, whose strong imagery lays down choreographic traces.
In a first „work in progress“ series of performances, the bridging of the gap between word and dance is executed as an interdisciplinary balancing act.
